October Disney Trip, Days 7 and 8
I'm taking a break from making Oreo balls (that I can't even eat) to finish blogging about our trip...

On Friday, we slept later (that probably means about 7:30 instead of 6:30). We didn't get in bed after the party until about 12:30, so we were lazy for a while. The kids were so funny about watching television at the hotel. We usually record shows on the DVR at home. My Favorite Boy said, "Wow! We can watch the shows live at Disney World!" They thought it was cool to see the shows when they were actually airing. Of course, then they couldn't fast forward through the commercials.

I had planned a low-key day. After a late breakfast, we headed to Downtown Disney to play at Disney Quest for a while. The kids enjoyed some games, and my Best Girl also participated in another drawing class.

For dinner, we went to the Contemporary Resort to eat at Chef Mickey's. We were the first family to arrive for the dinner seating, and they asked if the kids would like to help open the restaurant. They were so excited! They got to drop the rope and then Mickey welcomed them.

If you have been to Disney World, you know that people often have characters sign autograph books. Did you know Mickey has an autograph book? We didn't, but we were excited to know that the family of the day gets to sign his book. Very fun.

During dinner, we also visited with Donald, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto.

My Best Girl got another birthday cupcake during the hourly celebration. She's waving her napkin over her head (so is everyone else in the restaurant).

On Saturday morning, we got another slow start. We had a 10:30 reservation at 'Ohana for brunch with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch. We really enjoyed this meal. The food was wonderful, and the character interaction was so fun. We hope to repeat this experience in the future.

We had a few hours before our flight, so we went to Magic Kingdom to fill every moment we could. The Magic Kingdom was very crowded, so rather than fight the crowds, we enjoyed a few attractions that don't have lines. A ride on the Peoplemover was first, and we then we visited the Carousel of Progress.

We had a few more snack credits to burn, so my Best Girl found something that made her smile. My Favorite Boy devoured some white chocolate covered pretzels as well.

Before heading to the airport, we stopped for a few more pics and talked with Mickey, Minnie and the princesses one more time. We were so sad to leave, but thankful for the wonderful trip. You can even witness the magic of Disney in one of the pics below: my kids have their arms around each other in a loving way!

I don't know when we'll return, but we are so thankful for a year full of Disney memories. I know that 6 trips in one year sounds crazy to some, but I enjoyed every moment. It was truly magical!
