What's On My Nightstand - September
Whew! I thought that once both my kids were in school that I would have all kinds of time for blogging. I guess I was wrong! This week is the huge fundraiser at school, and I have been at the school helping out quite a bit. Perhaps I'll get back to blogging next week. And, I guess I will have to try to figure out what's wrong with my template as well.

Until then, here's a brief look at my Nightstand:

Chosen by Chandra Hoffman

The Confirmation by Ralph Reed

The Maker's Diet by Jordin Rubin

The Scarlet Letter (Readable Classics)

Take Four by Karen Kingsbury

What are you thinking about Lovely Bones? I haven't watched the movie version, but I remember being haunted by the book!

Also, good luck with your template!!

I need to pick up those readable classics, I tried so many times to read The Scarlet Letter but just couldn't get past the first few pages.

I keep seeing the readable classics around about and have been wondering whether I'd like them--but all the ones I've seen reviewed are of books I've already read (and not minded) in their original forms.

If only there were readable classics of, say, Dante's Inferno or Tolstoy's War and Peace. Although I did check the Readable Classics website and saw that Homer's Odyssey is in the works. Now that's an intimidating piece of literature!flo

You have some interesting variety here! The only one I've read is The Scarlet Letter. Hope all are enjoyable -- and you find the time to read them!

Sounds like an interesting list. The only one I've read is Scarlet Letter and that was back in high school. I should reread it and see if I actually like it this time. :) Happy reading!

I can relate on the time issue ... but I figure I just have to keep trying. :)

Happy reading!

I enjoy seeing "what's on your nightstand" every month. I'm checking out several of these books now.
